Community Service Requirements
Before beginning court-ordered community service hours:

1. Contact the Community Service Coordinator by calling (843) 566-0072 to schedule a screening appointment.  Walk-in appointments cannot be accomodated.
   
   
2. Screening is by appointment only during the following times:  Mondays from 2:30 - 4:00pm and Wednesdays from 10:00 - 11:30am.  Community service candidates must apply in-person during the scheduled time, with required documentation (community service paperwork and photo ID).
   
   
3. The minimum age requirement to perform community service at a Goodwill location is sixteen (16).  If under the age of eighteen (18), a parent/legal guardian must be present with the minor at the time of the screening appointment to sign required paperwork. Due to South Carolina State Labor Laws and liability issues, no exceptions can be made.
   
   
4. Applicants accepted into Goodwill's community service program, will be assigned to a location to fulfill their volunteer hours. After the scheduled community service screening, the volunteer will meet their supervising manager.  The manager will assign a work schedule and volunteers are required to meet this schedule.  If you do not meet your assigned work schedule, worker will be dismissed from serving your community service hours with Goodwill and will need to find another agency to meet their needs.
